In only a few years the Red Digital Cinema Company has managed to throw one of the largest curveballs in our industry. They managed to release an affordable camera that put out a resolution that only the high-end digital cine cameras could manage. As a result, all facets of the industry are now using the RED camera and having great success at a fraction of the cost of the traditional film and high-end digital workflows.

The RED camera is a modular-based design that allows different users to configure it to suit their needs. Camera operators, focus pullers and DITs have all played a role in developing our RED kits to allow both functionality and flexibility for all shooting situations.

RED can be optimised for different scenarios very easily, from hand-held, crane, Steadicam and dolly to even underwater and time lapse. Once you have decided on the RED, we will guide you through your choice of accessories and lenses, DIT, post workflow, archiving, crewing and anything else you may require.

There is no doubt, however, that every camera has its issues and RED is certainly not immune to them. With some good honest advice we will guide you through some of the potential issues before you turn up on set.
